Manchester-based Don Efe steps back into release mode with his vibrant new single, "Make My Day" featuring multi award-winning singer-songwriter Hazel Mak. A groove-led, feel-good record slated for release on 20 February 2026.
Breaking the news to fans, Don Efe shared the announcement via Instagram:

Born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, and raised in Manchester after relocating to the UK at age 13, Don Efe's artistic journey has been shaped by introspection, vulnerability, and self discovery. A quietly poetic creative at heart, his sound sits at the intersection of Afrobeats rhythm, electronic textures, and soulful reflection - music that balances emotional weight with dancefloor readiness.
On "Make My Day," he leans into a brighter, more celebratory pocket. The record is built on warmth, bounce and melodic lift - crafted to spark movement while still holding onto his signature expressive core.
The collaboration brings in Hazel Mak, a Manchester-based Southern African artist and founder of the female empowerment platform Malawian Girls Rock. An AFRIMA award winner for Best African Act in Diaspora for her hit "Jaiva" featuring Roberto and Tay Grin, Hazel Mak has built a cross-border reputation through her Afro-house and soul-rooted sound and commanding vocal presence.
She had shared stages with and appeared alongside names including Black Motion, Sho Madjozi, Prince Kaybee, Sauti Sol, DJ Maphorisa and others with performances spanning international festivals and diaspora cultural showcases.
Together, Don Efe and Hazel Mak merge two distinct vocal textures and genre influencers into one infectious, uplifting release - blending Afro-electric bounce with Afro-house soul. The chemistry lands naturally: melodic, rhythmic, and replay ready.
With "Make My Day," Don Efe continues expanding his sonic palette while Hazel Mak reinforces her global Afro-house footprint; meeting in a space where feel-good energy and musical intention move in sync.
