5Roundz Podcast is poised to take the lead in new heights through their friendly, favorite passionate conversations.
In today's world of music and entertainment, podcasts are seemingly coming close to becoming a favorite for telling stories through various conversations, while keeping connected and staying on top of topics in today's realm of current trends.
While it's nothing short of talking in rounds about one of your favorite stories, recently watched movies or series podcasts might be one of the few things that people nowadays actually feel closely connected to, apart from music no matter their background.
Day to day people are getting new ideas of starting podcasts just to stick to their favorite topics while sharing with the world their personal feelings, thoughts, and deep reviews. Some fall off being the hot reviews, but one of which is trying to change the landscape of this is the 5Roundz Podcast.
5Roundz Podcast is a lifestyle podcast that was founded by Malawian artist and producer, Paul Kampezeni (Wantali) along with his group friends Ovitta Chimenya (Ovi2Nyc), Patrick Chitokwe, Vanessa Mkhulichi (Nala), and Mphatso Mlotha (MP) and it explores various topics and current affairs through a round-by-round format.
Now living in the heart of London, Wantali and his team discuss a range of topics from sports, music, fashion, politics, and others. They also have a number of associates who have contributed to the show, including RJ The DJ, and Macheza The Comedian.
With a mix of humor and real-life experiences, 5Roundz delivers thought-provoking discussions that bring day-to-day conversations to life.
Speaking in an interview, Wantali explained why they decided to start the podcast.
"During the pandemic, we got together as a group of childhood friends via PlayStation and started discussing various topics, from relationships to current affairs to sports. We noticed the varied opinions coming from a group with such diverse personalities and realized that we could share our thoughts with the world.
We saw a gap in this type of content, especially from a Malawian perspective. In a world now dominated by media and entertainment on demand, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube talk shows and podcasts, we felt the need to offer a raw and unscripted approach through our channel. As Malawians in the diaspora, we felt a duty to provide our experiences from an African perspective abroad".
To date, 5Roundz has featured several talented Malawian acts such as Vinny Visuals, KIM of Diamonds, Barry One, Hyphen, AK on Tha Board, and many others.
