News: Forbes family confirms the release of AKA's album "Mass Country" to honor his legacy
With the world and music industry still engulfed with the grief of the tragic and untimely passing of Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes, the Forbes family has acknowledged the outpouring of support and love from South Africa and beyond.
Still continuing with the rapper's legacy the Forbes family has agreed to honor the rapper by setting on with the plan to release his new album "Mass Country" on the 24th of February 2023, and with a new single titled, "Company" to premiere Friday, February 17, featuring long-time friend and Nigerian record producer Kiddominant.
The two had previously settled in the studio on AKA's song "Fela In Versace", which became a hit trending along several radio stations and wide repeated airplay on TV, becoming one of the top grossing of the industry.
Even before his passing AKA's "Mass Country" had become a worldwide trend and one of the most anticipated albums of the century with the rapper continuously offering new teases to his fans and hinting upon a new release every week in the build-up of his new album.
Raphael Benza of Vth Season within AKA's management wrote:
"Kiernan worked very hard on this project. The energy and the expectations from the Megacy fueled him to make a masterpiece.
