News: Sean Morgan ropes in Gemini Major for "Sativa"

Sean Morgan has released the official music video for "Sativa," bringing Gemini Major into the visual rollout of his newly released YARD MAN EP.

Produced by Macia, "Sativa" is the third track on the four-song project, following "Breda" featuring Angelic Vibes Choir and "Saturday," and leading into "Milli." YARD MAN arrived on September 14, with "Sativa" giving Morgan another collaboration within a project rooted in his Dancehall sound.

For Morgan, the release continues a catalogue built through solo records, collaborations, and his connection to Dancehall culture beyond Malawi. His earlier work includes "Mantha," "Ndidzagenda," "Envy," and "Anamva," while his music has also found its way onto Jamaican and Zimbabwean riddims. His collaboration with Toast on "Everything Nice" further connected his Dancehall approach with another side of Malawi's contemporary music scene.

Gemini Major enters "Sativa" from a career that has similarly moved between Malawi and South Africa. The Malawian-born producer and artist first established himself through production before expanding further into his own music, working across Hip-Hop, Trap, Dancehall, and other African sounds. His production credits include Nasty C's "Juice Back," while his wider catalogue has connected him with artists including Cassper Nyovest and Khuli Chana.

That producer-artist background makes Major a natural fit for a collaboration that brings two different points of Malawi's music story into the same record. Morgan arrives with the Dancehall identity he has continued to build, while Major brings the experience of moving between the studio, his own releases, and collaborations across the region.

The official video arrives a day after YARD MAN, keeping the EP's rollout moving while putting Morgan and Major together on screen for "Sativa." The visual was released on September 15 and has also been listed by international reggae and Dancehall platforms like Reggaeville.

For Morgan, "Sativa" adds another collaboration to YARD MAN and another connection between his Dancehall catalogue and artists working across the wider Southern African scene. For Major, it adds another link back to Malawi while continuing a career that has rarely been confined to one sound or one side of the border.
