News: Hazel Mak (@hazelmakmusic) savours AFRIMA award
Malawian singer-songstress, Hazel Mak made history when she won an award at this year's All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The UK based singer was all smiles when she received her award, in the category of Best African Act in Diaspora, making her to be recognized as the first Malawian artist to win such an award.
Hazel Mak went ahead against seven other nominees in her category and secured the win for her song, 'Jaiva' featuring Roberto and Tay Grin.
On winning her award, congratulatory messages have poured in from all over by Malawian music fans, friends and family.
A member of ClassMates and artist under Kamikazi, Hazel Mak started her music career at the tender age of 11. Her efforts did not go unnoticed as her talent has since been recognized and showcased on different platforms. So recently was her interview on BBC Africa.
